Pick a lens, set the mounting height, and drag the person down the view. Watch a face go from identifiable to just a shape — and see where your blind spot starts. “We can see them” and “we can prove who it was” are very different cameras.
DORI thresholds per EN 62676-4: Detect 25, Observe 62, Recognise 125, Identify 250 px per metre of scene width (horizontal). Elevation assumes a 16:9 sensor and a 1.7 m subject; vertical scale is exaggerated for legibility. Indicative — a real design also accounts for lens distortion and lighting.
